CREATION OF THE COSMOS
§ 57. The creation of the inanimate and irrational world was begun and completed by the Triune God1 within six consecutive days2 by the exertion and for the manifestation and glory of His power,3 wisdom,4 and goodness.5

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Psalm 33:6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
Colossians 1:15, 16 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible.
