CHRIST’S KINGDOM OF POWER

§ 127. In His kingdom of power, Christ the God-man with His omnipotence governs the universe, controlling and directing all creatures according to His wise, good, and just purposes.

  Matthew 28:18 All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.

  Philippians 2:10–11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  Ephesians 1:21–22 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the Head over all things to the Church.

  Psalm 8:6–7 Thou madest Him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; thou hast put all things under His feet: all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field.

  Daniel 7:14 And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

  Hebrews 2:7–8 Thou madest Him a little lower than the angels; then crownedst Him with glory and honor, and didst set Him over the works of Thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under His feet. For in that He put all in subjection under Him, He left nothing that is not put under Him. But now we see not yet all things put under Him.

  I Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities, and powers being made subject unto Him.
