MERCY

§ 43. God is merciful, inasmuch as He has compassion with the afflicted and bestows His benefits upon the miserable.

Psalm 18:27 Thou wilt save the afflicted people.

Job 34:28 He heareth the cry of the afflicted.

Job 36:15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

Psalm 68:5 A Father of the fatherless, and a Judge of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.

Isaiah 49:13 The Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy upon His afflicted.

Ezekiel 16:6 And when I passed by thee, I saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

Luke 1:54 He hath holpen His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy.

Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us.

James 5, 11: Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Exodus 34:6 The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.
