LIFE
§ 32. God is life,1 inasmuch as He has His being of Himself,2 and of Himself knows, wills, and does whatever He knows, wills, and does.3
1. God is life,
Joshua 3:10 And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you.
Jeremiah 10:10 But the Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting king.
Psalm 84:2 My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Acts 14:15 We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.
I Timothy 6:16 Who only hath immortality.
Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man.
I Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Deuteronomy 32:40 For I lift up my hands to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

John 1:4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
I John 1:2 For the Life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.

John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself.
3. and of Himself knows, wills, and does whatever He knows, wills, and does.
John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
John 5:19–21 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth Him all things that Himself doeth: and He will shew Him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom He will.
Acts 17:28 For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.
