Installation at St. Luke’s, Seattle
On September 29th, 2002, the Rev. M. L. Natterer, Vice-President of the Concordia Lutheran Conference, installed the Rev. Edward J. Worley as pastor of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Seattle, Washington. Pastor Natterer preached on “God’s Solemn Charge to the Pastor: Preach the Word,” II Timothy 4:1-5. In expounding the text, he applied this theme to preaching from the pulpit and to particular applications of the Word in private. We rejoice that God graciously provided a pastor for the flock in Seattle and pray that He bless the congregation in the faithful stewardship of the Word through their God-appointed overseer (Acts 20:28). To that end, Pastor Worley requests the prayers of the entire Conference, that God may grant him grace sufficient for his pastoral labors, as only He can do (II Corinthians 3:4-6).
